Welcome!
Hello, my name is Car Cox, and I am a ceramic sculpture artist based in Georgia. My main concentration is creating hand-sculpted, life-sized ceramic busts (shoulders & higher) of a vast variety of fantasy creatures and animals for people who want to see their ideas come to life.
My goal is to grow into a full-time artist focusing on busts of personalized orders and commissions. I love bringing your ideas to life—whether it’s a cherished pet sculpture, a bust of your favorite animal, or a completely original creature from your imagination. Creating meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces is at the heart of what I do!
Please send me a message on the contact page if you are interested.
Stay tuned for my upcoming Etsy store opening, maybe launching a new COLLECTION?!

About the Artist.
Car Cox (they/them) is a sculptural artist originally from Augusta, Georgia, and is currently studying at Ogeechee Technical College. Car believes it is essential to develop the entrepreneurial skills and abilities necessary for the creative industry. Creating unique and extraordinary life-sized busts sculpted out of clay and making custom art for individuals is their passion. But ultimately, having their pieces in people's homes and seeing individuals' reactions to the art is what truly brings them the most absolute fulfilling joy and is what pushes them forward.
In the beginning of their high school career, Car didn't believe they had any artistic talents altogether. However, soon they would be proved wrong. After being given an assignment to sculpt a bust of the artist's choosing, Car chose to hand-build a unique and majestic giraffe head. Overall, this bust is what truly piqued their interest in the art of ceramics and is what drove them to start the creative journey they are continuing to embark on today.
Later on, as a senior in high school, the next creative bust was imagined and sculpted as it took inspiration from the fantasy realms. This piece resulted in an innovative intermixture of a cobra-like snake and a mythical dragon. Thus, the "Snake Dragon Bust" was born. This project specifically demonstrated the benefits of exploring new methods, and it taught them the value of trying new things with the challenges they came across during this project. Afterwards, the sculpture was entered into the high school's multi-disciplinary art show and won "Best Of Show" out of all the ceramics pieces entered.
